I am a native of New York, but have spent the past forty odd years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have degrees in Theatre Arts from SUNY at New Paltz and the Pennsylvania State University and worked as a scenic and lighting designer in college and community theatre for twenty five years; over time, assignments in the theatre expanded to include writing, directing and, occasionally, acting. At the turn of the Century I began teaching in a Visual Communications program and it was here that I was introduced to the field of computer graphics. I currently teaching in the Art Department at the Community College of Allegheny County.

As a fine artist I have concentrated on painting and have shown in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic and egg tempera. I have exhibited extensively throughout the region and has been included in shows at the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, the Monroeville Library and Robert Morris University. I am a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Society of Artists and have work included in the Friends of Art Collection of the Pittsburgh Public Schools and the Greater Latrobe High School Art Collection .
